Kāpiti Marae is located 200 metres further down Margaret Rd from the College entrance. The Marae is set facing the morning sun and across the green playing fields of the school. The Whare Nui, Kia Aio te Noho, was constructed in 1999 and is warm and well-ventilated. It can sleep up to 60. There is a Whare Kai, with a commercial kitchen, capable of seating up to 100.
The Marae follows Te Atiawa kawa and is connected with Te Atiawa ki Whakarongotai and with Parihaka. Visitors new to the marae must be formally welcomed with a powhiri or mihi whakatau. These can be arranged through Te Raukura venue manager. In general, bookings are during weekends and holidays, though other accommodation is possible.
